Özet

The serotonin syndrome develops as an acute adverse reaction due to serotonergic hyperactivity. The characteristic triad of serotonin syndrome includes mental status changes, autonomic dysfunction, and neuromuscular abnormalities. There are no laboratory tests to confirm the diagnosis. Treatment should start with discontinuation of the precipitant agent. We hereby present a brief review of the syndrome, implicated drugs and its suggested treatment algorithm.
