Özet

Folk songs not only express the feelings

and thoughts of the people, but also keep

historical events alive. Among the

Turkish people, "Algerian Folk Song" is

as common and famous lament as

Yemen, Estegon, Baghdad, Rumelia folk

songs about historical events from the

Ottoman period.

"Algerian Folk Song" is performed in

Turkish wedding ceremonies in a wide

geography such as Southern, Eastern,

Central, Central and Western Anatolia,

as a spoken or unspoken melody folk

song and accompanied by dance or play

even today. Apart from whether there is

a connection between historical facts and

cultural facts, the relationship between

the context in which the folk song was

burned and sung and the current context

of performance can be examined.
