Digital Transformation, Perspective Development, and Value Creation Research Case Studies, Małgorzata Pańkowska, Editör, Routledge, London/New York , New York, ss.2-20, 2024
Education and training opportunities being developed via digital transformation-based implementations are essential for many institutions today in terms of personalizing education and training, increasing professional and academic performance, and increasing the efficiency of organizational time and resource management and information management capabilities. Considering these innovations, one of the most striking ones is the “distance learning” activities carried out through digital platforms that are developing and becoming increasingly widespread within the scope of digital transformation and Education 4.0.
One of these platforms is the Teacher Information Network – TIN (Öğretmen Bilişim Ağı-ÖBA), which was put into practice in 2022 by the Ministry of National Education of Turkey. The platform aims to support teachers‘ professional development. This chapter examines the digital transformation in education. The structure, system, content, and use of the TIN platform are examined by applying the case study method. The opinions of the teachers using the TIN platform were analyzed using the in-depth interview technique, and the platform's effectiveness was evaluated. This chapter is a case study for digital transformation, Education 4.0, and distance education studies by identifying the potential and improvements of TIN.
