A content analysis of the papers published in the Journal of School of Business Administration: Operations Research and Operations Management (1972-2007)

Özet

In this study operations research and operations management papers that were published between the years 1972 and 2007 at Journal of School of Business Administration, Istanbul University are assessed. It is aimed to reach general conclusions on the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of operations research and operations management papers published in the journal. Additionally, in the study, a content analysis of some selected papers is done. During the research, 161 articles are investigated and they are separated into groups. The findings of the study indicate that operations research and operations management fields have the highest number of articles in the Journal of School of Business Administration. Considering that the Istanbul University Faculty of Business is one of the oldest Business Faculty in Turkey; by following the distribution of the papers in years in the Journal of Business Administration, the trend of business articles in Turkey can be understood. The popular topics, the frequency of those chosen topics among the years can be followed.
