Abstract

Postinfarction rupture of the interventricular septum is usually fatal without surgical intervention and requires urgent closure. Between 1989 and 2003 twenty consecutive patients (15 male, 5 female), underwent postinfarction ventricular septal rupture (VSR) repair.
