Internal migration, which has been continuing without slowing down since 1950s in Turkey, has started to reduce the quality of life in especially the metropolis that let in excessive numbers of immigrants for the last 15-20 years. From the perspective of the regions of outgoing migrations, production decreases here due to the population and labor force transfers. The net migration rate, which is a measure of incoming and outgoing migrations balance, needs to be examined closely. In this study, 12 regions of Turkey in NUTS1 level, which are the determinants of net migration rate divided into 4 categories, were analyzed for 2008- 2014 period with ordered panel logit regression.
