Özet

NANOTECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS FOR THE AVIATION INDUSTRY

This study covers a research that offers nanotechnological solutions to fundamental problems in the aviation industry. The fact that even the smallest problem that may occur in aviation can cause great loss of life and property increases the importance of studies in the field of aviation. On the other hand, the study of structures and materials on an ultrasmall scale, that is, at the nanoscale, is called nanoscience, and developing nano-scale structures, systems, devices and technologies in the light of the data obtained as a result of these studies is called nanotechnology. Since many properties of the material, especially the basic physical properties, can change when it comes to nano dimensions, nanotechnological studies continue intensively in almost every area of life today, In this study, information about nano-structured materials that can be used as an alternative to aluminum alloys and composites for use in aircraft fuselages is given, as well as the production and effect of nano-structured materials developed to protect flight personnel and passengers against cosmic radiation. In addition, information about other nanotechnological solutions for the aerospace industry is provided.
