Objective: Quantitative electroencephalography (qEEG) research remains unanswered the question concerning the use of qEEG as a standard laboratory test by practicing psychiatrists. The sensitivity and specificity of electrophysiological methods to answer practical clinical questions about individual patients suffering from psychiatric disorders remains unclear. Our research aimed to examine the use of qEEG to aid in clinical diagnosis. In order to assess qEEG's applicability as a laboratory test in cjinical psychiatry, depression, generalized anxiety, panic, posttraumatic stress disorder and schizophrenia patients are evaluated using quantitative electroencephalography.
