The pivotal semantics in lexical expressions: Research on the transmission of meaning.
The aim of the research is to anthropomorphize the Arabic roots, to reach the original
meaning and the meanings that were interchanged with that root under discussion,
and to identify its origin and the reasons for changing its meaning. Focusing on
the transfer of meaning, as there are many reasons for its transition from the original
meaning or the first meaning for which it was assigned to new meanings that are linked
by a comprehensive meaning with the first meaning. The research monitors the words
that have developed, and shows the form of development that followed her, and the new
meanings she acquired during her life journey. And arriving at the meaning currently
used, and since the causes of development are many and it is not possible to search all of
them; Therefore, the research was limited to one of the forms of semantic development,
which is the transmission of meaning.
In view of the occurrence of great developments in the meanings of many words
and their deviation from the original meaning, this research came to make an effort in
observing the forms of transfer of meanings that occurred in the words of Al-Thaa in the
lexicon of Lisan Al-Arab.
