Abstract

"Gulzar-i Savab", a work belonging to the 17th century, is a resource book for today's artists and restorers in subjects like paper dyeing, paper coating, ink making. A few of the materials and methods chosen for the recipe were applied in the Conservation Laboratory of Department of Restoration and Conservation of the Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters.
