Abstract
Professor Dr. Meral Alpay retired from Istanbul University Information and Document Management Department in 2005. She worked as a Director of Istanbul University Central Library for 11 years of her professional life between 1994-2005. Since I was assigned to the same post after Meral Alpay. I had the opportunity to follow closely her works in the library. The following article provides general information about this period.
