Abstract

Finishing, also called leather finishing process; wet and dry (mechanical) processes that have completed the process of leather, beautification, in other words, to complete makeup. Accordingly, finishing process is determined physical and chemical processes to give final properties to the semi-finished leathers by making tanning processes, to give properties suitable for the usage place and purposes and to support physical strength values. With the finishing process, not only the surface dying processes are carried out, but also the surface dying is combined with the printing process or only the printing operations and the painting are carried out. While in leather manufacture finishing dye can be spray gun and roller coating; for the embossing techniques it can give example as hot press embossing, paper embossing, serigraphy, laser drilling; or for digital printing techniques can give example as inkjet, laser dyeing, chromojet. In leather manufacture; digital printing techniques can be used frequently for deformed grain and bad quality leathers and marketing value of these types leather can be rised with the digital techniques. Digital printing applications in leather production are often used in bad skin and bad quality, and the market value of the leather is increasing. In recent years, changing fashion trends, declining skin skin surface quality and changing customer demands have given more direction to the development of printing techniques on the skin. In this direction, all kinds of printing work on the leather can be done. In this work, we will discuss how digital printing and paper transfer applications on leather have become increasingly important in recent years.
