The formation of molecularly dispersed sulfur begins as soon as the reactants were mixed. At the time (induction period, t(B)) when concentration of dissolved sulfur reaches a constant value, i. e, a limiting supersaturation, an increase at the optical density values was observed. t(B) values were used in order to examine the influence of the concentrations of cetyhl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) and gelatin (GL) on the formation of sulfur sols.
