Preoperative planning is key for these procedures. Osteotomies should be performed according to the CORA. Juxta-articular hinge mechanism can be useful for knee deformities, especially when the CORA is at the knee level. Although deformities are usually seen in a single bone segment (femur or tibia), it should be taken into account that combined deformities, joint line deformities, and sagittal plan deformities could be the main problem in some patients. Patients with knee deformity and medial ligamentous laxity should be treated with bone osteotomies and tightening of the medial collateral ligament.
