Bu çalışmada altı asırlık büyük Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun kültürel, siyasi ve ekonomik mirasının izleği sürülmekte ve günümüzde Yeni Dünya Düzeni olarak isimlendirilen yapının bu mirastan ne yönde ve nasıl etkilendiğini analiz etmeyi hedeflenmektedir. Ayrıca günümüz siyasal konjonktürel yapılanmasına meydan okuyucu bir olgu olarak küreselleşme ile dünyaya nizam verme ideali ve iddiası arasındaki korelasyondan hareketle, bu argümanın ne ölçüde gerçekçi olduğu Osmanlı’yı sona erdiren nedenler bağlamında irdelenmiştir.
In this study, the main trajectories of the Ottoman Empire, which had longed lived during the six centuries, and its cultural, political and economic legacy have been followed. However, it has been aimed to analyze the influence of the Ottoman legacy over the New World Order as the recent socio-political system. This study also tries to establish a direct correlation between the globalization as the challeging phenomena of the existing world system and the ideal of the hegemony for the world under the rules and hypothesis of the world system analysis. Lastly, this study elaborates the main deficencies and shortcomings of the New World Order within the context of the reasons which lead to end the Ottoman ‘dream’.
