In this chapter how the communication and social processes within the organizations inhibit effective digital transformation is examined. These processes act against the best intentions of the organizational actors and operate outside the awareness of the related parties. The existing advice regarding the effective implementation of digital transformation bypasses these processes. It is hypothesized that without surfacing and engaging these hidden pitfalls the transformation efforts are bound to fail or become unnecessarily difficult and cost
