Abstract

© 2022 IEEE.HER2 gene amplification occurs in approximately 30% of breast cancer cases and is known to cause excessive signal transduction leading to stimulation of cancer cell metastasis and growth. Therefore, accurate measurement of HER2 gene copy number variation can be used for predicting prognosis and monitoring HER2-targeted therapy. Accurate measurement of nucleic acid is extremely important for the early diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases. In this study, we developed new multiplex PCR assay for accurate measurement of HER2 alterations. This assay applies to both qPCR and dPCR. The newly developed HER2 PCR assay can be used in clinical research, diagnosis and monitoring of the disease.
