Abstract

This study deals with the types of judgments stipulated in the Turkish Criminal Procedure Code (CPC), Art. 223. At the beginning, the study puts forth the concept of judgment. In this context, substantive with formal definite provisions and substantially with procedural definite provisions are mainly included. After that, the types of judgment included in the CPC were examined. On the basis of the order in which they are included in the relevant regulation (Art. 223), firstly there are cases where an acquittal decision should be made, is followed by a judgment to no need to inflict punishment, conviction, judgment to measure of security, inadmissibility of the case and the judgment of dismissal have been specified. Finally, the study asses the other cases that considered as a judgment.
