Bu araştırmada, İstanbul Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü ve Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsüne bağlı olarak verilen Orta Öğretim Alan Öğretmenliği Tezsiz Yüksek Lisans Programındaki, “Alan Eğitiminde Araştırma Projesi’’ dersindeki hazırlanan projeler ele alınmıştır. Araştırmada, öğrencilerin genel alanlarının (Fen-Sosyal) ve hazırladıkları projelerin eğitim alanından ya da dışından olması, projelerin Türkiye’ye özgü ya da evrensel konulardan mı seçildiği, teori, uygulama, proje türü, danışmanın alan değişkenleri açısından incelenmiştir.
Alan Eğitiminde Araştırma Projesi dersinde verilen 2006 - 2007 eğitim öğretim yılına ait toplam 715 proje tesadüfi örnekleme yoluyla seçilmiş ve incelenmiştir. Araştırma ilişkisel tarama modelindedir. Elde edilen verilerin, analizinde Ki-Kare (Chi-Square) testi uygulanmıştır.
İstatistiksel analizler sonucunda, öğrencilerin genel alanları ile; projenin eğitim alanı- eğitim alanı dışından, Türkiye’ye özgü ve evrensel olması, proje türü, danışmanın alanı değişkenleri ile anlamlı düzeyde ilişkiler saptanmıştır. Ayrıca, araştırmada bölüm değişkeni, proje türü değişkeni açısından incelenmiş ve sonuç istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı çıkmıştır.

In this study, the projects which are prepared in the “Research Project in Field Education” course, which is in the program of “secondary education field teacher training master’s degree without a thesis” at the Social Sciences Institute and the Natural Sciences Institute of Istanbul University. In the study, it is investigated that whether the general fields (natural-social sciences) of students and their projects are related to the variables such as being from inside or outside of the education field, being unique to Turkey or universal, being theoretical and practical, the type of the project and the counselor’s field.
715 Projects, which were completed in the “The Research Project in Field Education” course in 2006- 2007 academic year, are chosen by the random sampling method and examined. The current study is conducted in a correlational model. The data is analyzed by the Chi-square test.
The statistical analyzes revealed that there are meaningful correlations between the general fields of students and being of the project from the inside or the outside of education field, being special to Turkey or universal, the type of project, the field of the counselor variables. Additionally, it is investigated that whether the field variable is related to the type of project and the results of this analysis are found to be statistically meaningful.
