Abstract

In globalized markets consumers buy products with different countries of origin everyday. Different purchase intentions are effected by these different products. These changes should be pursued carefully by the businesses. Especially for businesses operating internationally the approach to the foreign products is important. In literature the consumers choice between foreign and domestic productsis analyzed under the term “consumer ethnocentrism”.

In this study, to analyze the levels of ethnocentrism of consumers that live in Turkey, Bosnia –Herzegovinia and Sandzak CETSCALE is used developed by Shimp and Sharma. The ethno-centrism levels of the countries are found by CETSCALE. The demographic features of the consumers participated in the survey are also analyzed. In this respect, the ethnocentrism levels of the countries and the demographics of the participant consumers are compared.  At the same time the obtained data is compared.
