Abstract

Anaesthesia was induced by tiletamine-zolazepam combination (@ 25 mg/kg) in 8 dogs which were subjected to ovariohysterectomy during anaesthesia. The duration of anaesthesia varied between 60-75 minutes while induction and recovery from anaesthesia were free from complications. Biochemical and haematological examinations were done 24 hours before anaesthesia, at minutes 0, 30 and 60 during anaesthesia and 24 hours later and their effects on the metabolism were investigated.
