Özet

The historical evidence of andrological practice in Anatolia goes back to Hittite civilization on 1800 BC, Detailed information about prescriptions to restore male potency can be harvested through the tablets. Activities during the Ottoman Empire consist of some books informing about sexual behavior and traditions of men and women and also some surgical procedures. Circumcision is a widely practiced procedure in all Islamic countries and in Turkey. Historical and technical aspects as well as the current practice of circumcision will be discussed.
