El sanatlarının ilk örnekleri insanoğlunun varlığıyla birlikte doğanın şartlarına bağlı şekilde insanların ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak ve korumak amacıyla verilmiştir. İlerleyen zamanlarda gelişerek tabiat şartlarına göre değişimler göstermiş, ortaya çıktığı toplumun duygularını, sanatsal beğenilerini ve kültürel niteliklerini yansıtır duruma gelmiş ve "geleneksel" özellik kazanmıştır. Bir ülkenin gelenek ve göreneklerinin nesilden nesle aktarılmasında en büyük önemi el sanatları taşımakta ve taşıdığı bu önemle de geçmişten geleceğe aktarılan bir kültür hazinesi olarak korunmaktadır. Rusya’nın sanat tarihinde geleneksel el sanatları her zaman önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Geleneksel Rus el sanatları, binlerce yıllık tarihten gelen kültürel mirasla kendi öz değerlerini birleştirerek zengin bir mozaik oluşturmuştur. Geleneksel Rus el sanatları başlangıcından bugüne kadar gerek Hristiyanlık öncesi gerekse Hristiyanlık sonrasında, Rus halkının günlük yaşamıyla doğru orantılı bir şekilde gelişip değişerek bugünkü halini almıştır. Binlerce yıllık geçmişe sahip olan Rusya’da, nesiller boyunca birbirine aktarılarak günümüze kadar gelmeyi başarmış pek çok el sanatı bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, XX. yüzyılın ikinci yarısındaki Rus el sanatlarının gelişimini incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda geçmişten günümüze kadar ulaşan geleneksel Rus el sanatları sınıflandırılacak, özellikleri saptanacak ve örnekleri tanıtılacaktır. Ayrıca günümüzdeki el sanatlarına da değinilecektir. Çalışmamızın konusunun güncelliği Rusya’nın köklü bir geçmişe dayalı el sanatlarının Türkiye’de ilk kez ele alınmasına dayanmaktadır.
The first examples of handicrafts arose with the existence of human beings in order to meet and protect the needs of people against natural conditions. These objects have changed throughout history according to natural conditions and started to reflect the emotions, sense of art and cultural characteristics of the community they have emerged from, gaining the “traditional” feature. Handicrafts are of the greatest importance in the transfer of a country's traditions and customs from generation to generation, and with this importance, they are preserved as a cultural treasure passed on from the past to the future. Traditional handicrafts have always played an important role in the art history of Russia. Russian traditional handicrafts have created a rich cultural mosaic by combining their own values with the cultural heritage accumulated as history over thousands of years. Russian traditional handicrafts have evolved and adapted to the changing daily lives of the Russian people, both before and after the Christian era, up until the present day. Throughout Russia's thousands of years of history, there are many handicrafts that have survived to the present day by being passed on for generations. This study aims to analyze the development of Russian handicrafts in the second half of XX. century. For this purpose, Russian traditional handicrafts that have survived will be classified, identified, and featured. In addition, modern handicrafts will also be mentioned. Topicality of the subject of our study relies on the discussion of Russian handicrafts that are based on a deep-rooted history, which is a subject that is being tackled for the first time.
