The liberation struggle, which give birth to the war of independence and began under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal, became a source of hope for the people who were worn out and felt hopeless because the wars had lasted for many years. Mustafa Kemal, the leader of the struggle, received support from different segments of society. Mehmed Halid Bey, a bureaucrat during the Ottoman Empire, was among those who supported Mustafa Kemal Pasha during the birth of modern-day Turkey. In a letter that he wrote after the military phase of the Turkish National Struggle (Milli Mucadele) ended in victory, he revealed his attitude toward the Turkish National Struggle (Milli Mucadele) and his loyalty to Mustafa Kemal Pasha. In addition to praising Mustafa Kemal, he also wrote two historical poems. Along with providing information about Mehmed Halid Bey's life, this article discusses the letter he wrote to Mustafa Kemal Pasha as well as the poems he wrote.
