Abstract

The KL & Idot;M & Idot;K Association led the development of the KL & Idot;M & Idot;K Mobile application and made it available to association members on November 3, 2023. The app's "Ask the Expert" module enables healthcare professionals to share their current questions in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases directly with specialist physicians. Users posed approximately 200 questions through the module between November 2023 and May 2025, and pre-selected experts answered all of them. This report compiles expert responses to 37 questions under "Community-Acquired Infections" and "Healthcare-Associated Infections," along with the supporting sources. These findings highlight the practical needs of clinicians and the translation of current evidence-based into the field.
