Renewable energy sources are those that are replenished naturally and can be continuously harnessed without depleting their resources. These sources include solar energy, wind energy, hydropower energy, geothermal energy, and biomass energy. The importance of renewable energy lies in its sustainability, meaning it can be produced indefinitely without harming the environment or depleting natural resources. Renewable energy sources have a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to traditional fossil fuels, which are finite and have detrimental effects on the environment. By transitioning to renewable energy sources, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve air quality, and mitigate the impacts of climate change. Overall, renewable energy plays a critical role in achieving a sustainable future for our planet. Based on these knowledges, renewable energy sources are evaluated in this study with an integrated fuzzy based multi criteria decision making approach. The proposed approach is composed of two distinct components, namely the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and the fuzzy based ELECTRE methods. Initially, the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is used to calculate the weights and to create the decision matrix. Following this, the ELECTRE method is applied to the decision matrix, taking into consideration the weights, to evaluate the renewable energy sources.
