Abstract

Abstract
Advanced oxidation process treatment method has been adapted to olive oil mill wastewater  (OMW). Lots of olive oil mills have facilities in Aegean Region, Turkey. Wastewater, used in this study was collected from these fabrics founded in the cities of Izmir and Balıkesir. Because of the advanced and expensive treatment methods of this wastewater, makes regulations and limitations out of order. 95 -1600C temperature and up to 20 bar pressure were used with H2O2 and Fe(SO)4 as an oxidant in wet oxidation method. Over 96% of oil & grease and 90% of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal was achieved using wet air oxidation in conditions with different amounts of H2O2 and    Fe(SO)4 in 60 minutes.
