Özet

High ortho novolactype phenolic resin and waste poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) were used to prepare blends and reaction products. The effect of PET on the thermal oxidative stability of these products was investigated with thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). It was determined that presence of PET in blends improved the stability and in case of reaction products, degradation was prevented up to 370degreesC.
