Özet

Telmessos, an ancient city founded in the South-Western part of Turkey, is a historical city that always attracted attention in its region in terms of its location and resources. Thus, in different periods of time, it existed independently, joined unions and was exposed to occupations. The reason behind all of these is its geographical location where it was founded. Geographical locations have a direct influence upon the political and economical lives of cities, even upon those of states. Based on this, the settling date back to the ancient times in Western and South-Western Anatolian regions which have the suitable circumstances for the powerful political organizations to be founded.
