Özet
The present study examines the semantics of Tajik vocabulary with the aim of analyzing the semantic features of Tajik in comparison with Iranian Persian from a linguistic perspective. When two languages are closely related, or when lexical items belong to two varieties, dialects, or accents of the same language, the study of phonetic, phonological, and semantic correspondences provides significant evidence for understanding their linguistic relationship. In this regard, the research analyzes a set of Iranian and Tajik Persian words to determine the extent of their affinity and to clarify the historical and sociolinguistic factors that have shaped the current status of these varieties.
