Özet

Warehouses play a vital role in supply chain processes. Whereas warehouses used to simply store products before or after delivery to customers, their functions have now changed completely, resulting in more complex warehouse processes. It is now essential to make these complex processes greener, more effective, secure, safe, digitalized, efficient, and cheaper. Accordingly, this study applied the Bayesian Best Worst Method (BBWM) to identify ways to improve air cargo warehouses in terms of safety, digitalization, and environmental factors. A criteria table of three main and twenty-four sub-criteria was created with the help of a literature review and the knowledge and experience of an expert in air cargo warehouses. The expert contributed to the study by identifying various sub-criteria not found in the literature itself. The criteria weights were then decided by seven experts in air cargo warehouses. The findings showed that safety is the most crucial factor to consider for improving air cargo warehouses, whereas the least important is digitalization. Finally, the findings were compared with the results of a Best Worst Method (BMW) analysis.
