In this talk, the two observatories in Istanbul which were established before and after the republic will be presented. These two observatories have the largest and oldest Solar observation databases in the country. These data will be introduced as an important heritage of Turkish astronomy since both observatories show efforts to make them public. Besides, other observatories in Türkiye, and the most recent ones will also be addressed briefly in the talk.
