Özet

Asikli Hoyuk (Central Anatolia- Province of Aksaray), being located in the close vicinity of obsidian sources, evidently used obsidian extensively for the chipped stone industry. The present study covers technological and typological assessment of the obsidian assemblage of the Asikli Hoyuk. The obsidian technology of Asikli mainly displays blades produced (unidirectional and bidirectional system) by direct percussion. It is thus anticipated that through the analysis of the Pre Pottery Neolithic obsidian industries in Asikli Hoyuk, it twill be possible to develop a more extensive knowledge of this community.
