Abstract

The beneficial effect of statin therapy in reducing adverse cardiovascular events is overwhelming. In present study, 168 patients with final diagnosis acute coronary syndrome (ACS) were evaluated and divided two groups regarding to prior statin use. There was significantly less presentation with STEMI, and increased the occurrence of recurrent angina/ischemia and Total Cardiac Event (TCE) in patients on prior statin therapy.
