Abstract

Accurate and non-invasive biochemical sensing is essential for medical diagnostics and research. However, traditional mid-infrared vibrational absorption spectroscopy methods struggle to analyze complex biological fluids effectively. To overcome these challenges, we introduce an innovative plasmonic sensing platform that enhances infrared spectroscopy for more precise and efficient biochemical analysis. Our approach utilizes advanced microtechnology to improve sensitivity and expand the range of detectable mid-IR molecular vibrations. This platform enables high-throughput, label-free detection of molecular signatures, making it particularly valuable for medical applications. We demonstrate its potential by analyzing peritoneal fluids from ovarian cancer patients, offering insights that could aid in disease detection and monitoring. With its compact design and scalable fabrication, this technology presents a powerful tool for biomedical research, diagnostics, and personalized medicine.
