Özet

A thermal drilling well was opened in 2008 to the Buyukkukurt Dere valley 1.5 km away from the village of Yakaoren, 5 km away from Isparta city center. The explosion, caused by the gas jam during the drilling studies, has come to fruition. After this explosion, CO2 and H2S gas discharge from the wastewater started, and the gas discharge was fatal to the human, animal and plant life in the vicinity.
