Introduction: The number of people infected with COVID-19 virus is increasing day by day. It is widely
accepted that asymptomatic individuals can cause transmission by carrying the virus in the respiratory
tract, but main transmission results from contact with sick individuals.
Case: A 42-year-old woman with COVID -19 positive is a patient.The patient who had no complaints;
ECG examination was performed and routine biochemistry, CRP, hemogram, cardiac enzyme,
coagulation blood test results were found to be within normal limits. A frosted glass image was detected
in the patient who underwent emergency thoracic CT interpretation PA. Nursing diagnoses given to the
patient are: Anxiety, inability in the process of coping with the disease, fear of death, risk of infection,
acute pain caused by headache and joint pain, social isolation.
Conclusions: The course of COVID-19 infection varies from asymptomatic to fatal outcome. Due to
the lack of an effective drug for the infection, the management of symptoms is provided with a largely
supportive approach. Nurses play an important role in the care and treatment of COVID-19 patients.
After the last two of the patient's COVID-19 test results came back negative, there was no problem with
his blood values and he had no clinical discomfort, he was discharged from the hospital to be
quarantined for 14 days. The patient was informed to contact the health facility again in case of any
discomfort.
