Özet

The paper focuses on the phenomenon of intermediality in contemporary Polish poetry. By referring to analyses and interpretations of specific works by artists working in several fields of art, such as Szczepan Kopyt, Grzegorz Wróblewski, Wojciech Bąkowski and Grzegorz Bromboszcz, the author formulates conclusions about the properties of contemporary forms of artistic expression and the consequences of using them in the process of reception of artistic works. For this purpose the author refers to the work of the propagator of the term “intermedia”, Dick Higgins, and research on e-literature and poetics of intermedia works. The author puts forward a thesis regarding the emerging need among contemporary artists to “specify” the lyrical layer of their works through the tools offered by the new media.
