Özet

Bu çalışmada, Hz. Muhammed’in rüya anlayışı ele alınmaktadır.

Peygamberimiz’in rüyaları tasnif ettiğini de görüyoruz.

This presentation examines the dream understanding of the Prophet Mohammed of Islam. All of the parts of the essential Hadith resources that are related to dreams are examined one by one to determine the Prophet’s understanding of the issue. Nine major Hadith books, including Sahi-i Buhari and Sahih-i Müslim which are of great importance in Islamic studies, are examined. Also, the points of view and thoughts of some Islamic scholars about relevant statements of the Prophet Mohammed are looked at. We start our exploration with the moment He first received revelation through dreams, evaluating the dreams as part of a Prophecy, claiming that Prophecy ended with him but that the “good news” dreams will serve this function until eternity. We will see that he took dreams to be of different levels. According to Him, the good and meaningful dreams are from God, while bad and meaningless dreams are from evil. We learn what to do to protect ourselves from the bad dreams and from the information these give. We also look at the various dreams the Prophet Mohammed had Himself. Some of these are related to this life, while others are related to the afterlife. The dreams He had relating to this life: victory or defeat during wars; healing from illness, His religion spreading all over the world and gaining power. He also had dreams explaining the condition of His people in the future. The dreams about the afterlife were dreams of the blessings which will be given in heaven and the torments in hell. Resources also show that the Prophet Mohammed had seen God and other prophets in His dreams, especially the Prophet Abraham, the Prophet Moses and the Prophet Jesus. He shared all the dreams He had with His companions and interpreted them. He also listened to the dreams of His companions and interpreted them, too. He advised them on the things they must be careful about when they interpret dreams, how to interpret bad dreams and similar issues. He gave information about the right time to have good dreams and about the qualifications people need to have good dreams.
