Since 90’s, north Korean folkore has been studied actively in south Korea, and achieved the desired results. Those established researches have a tendency to focus on a political difference between south Korean and north Korea. However, for looking for a way to contribute to unification, it is important to focus on finding a way of communicating. In this paper, the meaning of north Korean folklore <A Masip Tunnel> which is important research data in north Korea is studied. After analysing this folklore, it is revealed that <A Masip Tunnel> can be read as the epic of division. In the future, based on this study, a way to overcome the epic of division would be found.
