Biography

I was born in 1971 in Istanbul, in the Fatih district. I completed high school in the Electronics department at Alibeyköy Vocational High School.

In 1993, I graduated from Istanbul University with a degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. That same year, I started working at the Orthopedics Clinic of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.

In 1995, I gained experience in thermal spring therapy at Bursa Military Hospital and completed my military service, excluding training periods.

In 1996, I returned to the Orthopedics Clinic of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.

In 2003, I was appointed to the Geriatrics Department of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. While continuing my duties in the Geriatrics Department, I also provide rehabilitation services to Cardiology, Hematology, and Internal Emergency patients.

In 2012, I began my master's degree in the Department of Public Health at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. I still continue the comprehensive geriatric assessment service I applied to Geriatrics outpatient clinic patients for my master's thesis, parallel to my other rehabilitation services.

In December 2022, I graduated from the doctoral program in physiotherapy and rehabilitation at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Institute of Cardiology.

Both my master's and doctoral theses were conducted on elderly individuals. To enhance my knowledge and experience in the Geriatrics Department, I attended congresses and certified courses on various online platforms.

I also completed Anadolu University, Open Education Faculty, Elderly Care Associate Degree program.
