Biography

She is a foreign languages teacher with 15 years of experience. She became a teacher in 2005 when she finished the Complementary Cycle with emphasys in English in Colombia. In 2010 she finished her Bachelor degree in Foreign Languages for teaching (English and French), at the University of Antioquia. She went to the United States to work as a Teacher Assistant in a dual immersion program (Spanish-English) at Selma Elementary School in North Carolina. After that, she travelled to Turkey and worked in an English center for two years. Then, she returned to Colombia and worked there for a while until she returned to Istanbul to work at Istanbul Universitesi Dil Merkezi for almost 3 years. Currently, she is happily working in the Spanish Language and Literature department of the Literature Faculty. She finished her master degree in ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) from the University of Barcelona, Spain. Among her interests and hobbies there are listening to music in different languages, reading, solving puzzles and dancing. She has also practiced belly dance with some professional training in 2007-2008. As a new skill, she has started to learn and practice Geleneksel Ebru Sanati.
