Asst. Prof. İmam Rabbani ÇELİK

Biography

He was born in 1990 in Mersin. He graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Theology (2012). He holds an MA with his thesis titled "The Essence of Umum Expressions in Fakhr al-Din Al-Rāzī's Fiqh Methodology (Within the Framework of Al-Mahsul)" (2014), and a Ph.D. with his thesis titled "The Super-commentaries on Talwīh in the XVth Century Ottoman Thought: Debates on Taklīf” from the Institute of Social Sciences of Marmara University. Before joining the Institute of Islamic Studies at İstanbul University (2023), he was lecturer in Faculty of Theology at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University. His research interests revolve around the development of usul al-fiqh in the post-classical era and gloss writing in the Ottoman period.
