Biography

Iryna Kushnir was born in Kharkiv (Ukraine).


In 1990–2000 she received the secondary education at Kharkiv Secondary School No.35.

 

From 2000 to 2005 she studied at the Faculty of Philology at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Received a diploma (with honors), Master’s degree in Philology, a teacher of the Russian language and Literature; specialty "Language and Literature (Russian)" (dated July 5, 2005; KHA No. 27961716).

 

In 2005 she began to work as a Lecturer at the Department of Language Training in the Center for International Education (now the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Education) at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (Ukraine).

 

2005–2009 she studied in postgraduate studies at the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Psychology at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

 

2012 – defended her PhD thesis on the Methodology of Teaching a Foreign language for the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences at Kherson State University (Ukraine). Received a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences diploma in the specialty "Theory and Teaching Methods of Education" (dated September 26, 2012; DK No. 009629).

 

From September 2005 to August 2014 she holds the position of lecturer and from September 2014 to December 2022 of Associate Professor of the Department of Language Training 1, Educational and Scientific Institute of International Education at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

From January 2023 till now Iryna Kusnir is working at Istanbul University.

 

In 2016 she received an Associate Professor's diploma (dated February 25, 2016; 12 DC No. 047076).

 

In 2015–2017 she received a second higher education: she graduated from the Master's degree in the Faculty of Philology at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University with a degree in the Ukrainian Language and Literature. Received a Master's degree in Philology, a teacher of the Ukrainian language and Literature; specialty "Ukrainian language and literature" (dated July 7, 2017; M 17 No. 070284).

 

2018–2020 she was a doctoral applicant at the Department of Ukrainian Philology and Journalism of Kherson State University (Ukraine). Scientific consultant – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Chairman of the Academic Council for the Defense of Candidate and Doctorate Dissertations, Honorary Citizen of the City of Kherson Maria I. PENTYLIUK. Thesis topic for the application degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences "Theory and practice of teaching the Ukrainian language to English-speaking students of higher medical education institutions" approved by the Coordinating Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

 

2020–2021 she worked as a part-time designer and reviewer of the test tasks of the State Certification Examination in the Ukrainian language for persons wishing to obtain the status of a citizen of Ukraine at the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (Kyiv).

 

Complemented basic education:

 

1) advanced training courses at the O.S. Pushkin State University of the Russian Language (Moscow, 2007; certificate – 72 hours);

2) a series of seminars on psychological and pedagogical problems of education for young teachers and curators of academic groups on the basis of the Faculty of Psychology at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (2009, certificate);

3) course "Technologies of distance education in a higher educational institution" (V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, 2013; certificate – 108 hours);

4) a course on the basics of the theory and methodology of pedagogical testing under the program "Theory and practice of developing and reviewing test tasks" in the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (Kyiv, 2019; certificate – 90 hours);

5) International foreign internship on the topic "Technological innovations of higher education strategies in the context of global social changes" at Varna University of Management (Varna, Bulgaria, 2019; certificate –120 hours).
