Prof. Ayşe Resa AYDIN

Ayşe Resa Aydın completed her high school education at Üsküdar American Academy for Girls and her medical education at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. Between 1987-1990, she received the title of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) Specialist after his specialty training in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. She continued her studies in the same department and became Associate Professor in 1991 and Professor in Kayıt ol1998. Between 2001-2004, she worked as a coordinator in the Community-Based Rehabilitation Project carried out by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. In 2005, she established the Pediatric Rehabilitation Unit in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of PMR. In 2005, she was appointed as the Director of Istanbul University Disability Applied Research Center. In 2017, she opened the Disability Studies Master's Program with Thesis within the IU Institute of Social Sciences, became the program coordinator and Head of the Department of Disability Studies. In 2020, she established the Pediatric Rehabilitation Association and became its founding president. In 2021, she became the Head of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine Department of PMR.
