He was born in Bursa Keles in 1978. He finished primary and secondary school in Bursa. He completed high school at Bursa Boys' High School. He graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Law in 2000. He completed his master's degree in 2004 and his doctorate in 2012 at Istanbul University Social Sciences Institute Private Law Program. Between 2002 and 2012, where he continued his master's and doctoral studies, he worked as a research assistant at Istanbul University Faculty of Law, Department of Commercial Law. During his doctoral studies, he conducted research as an erasmus student and guest scientist at the Faculty of Law of the University of Cologne and the Institute of Private International Law and Foreigners Law of the University of Cologne between 2007 and 2009, and then between July 2015 and Februar 2016. He has been working as a faculty member at Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Commercial Law since 2013. His master's thesis, Unjust Enrichment in Bills of Exchange (2004), and his doctoral thesis, Current Account Agreement (2012), were published as books. Negotiable Instrument Law and Transportation Law (co-author) textbooks are open access on the YÖK courses platform. He has many articles and papers published, especially in the fields of commercial law, contract law and arbitration. He has been registered in the mediation registry and has been mediating in case condition and voluntary mediation files since 2020. He holds a Commercial Law and Banking and Finance Law Specialist Mediation certificate. He teaches courses on Commercial, Contracts, Logistics and Transportation and Cooperative Law in many universities, especially Istanbul University Continuing Education Center. He is also an expert and concordat commissioner registered in the Istanbul Regional Expertise list. From February 2025 onwards, he will be conducting research as a guest scientist at the Faculty of Law at the Freie University of Berlin.
