Ayse Zisan Furat is professor of Eurasian studies at the Research Institute for Turkish Studies since February 2022.
She received her B.A. degree in the History of Science in 2001 from Istanbul University. She gained her M.A. (in 2004) and PhD (in 2009) degrees in Religious Education from the Philosophy and Religious Studies department of the same university. From 2002-2009 she was working as a research assistant at the same department. Afterwards, she appointed first as assistant professor, and secondly associate professor of Religious Education at the Faculty of Theology.
Her research interests include religious and cultural transformation at Eurasia as well as history of education and science.
