Moleküler Hematoloji Çalışma Gurbu (MOLHEM)

The Molecular Haematology Working Group (MOLHEM) is a group that has been conducting research activities within the Department of Genetics at the Aziz Sancar Experimental Medicine Research Institute of Istanbul University since 2011. Our team consists of Prof. Dr. Müge Sayitoğlu and Assoc. Dr. Yücel Erbilgin, PhD students and postgraduate students of the Genetics Programme and our external stakeholders.  Our main area of research is rare and/or undiagnosed diseases. Our ongoing projects are in the areas of hereditary predisposition to cancer (childhood and endocrine cancers), high-risk leukaemias (biphenotypic, Ph-like, T-ALL etc.), hereditary anaemias, primary immunodeficiencies and include genome-wide analyses and functional studies.
