Biography
Dr. Harun Korkmaz
Musiki Tarihçisi ve Hânende.
Lisans ve lisansüstü tahsilini İstanbul Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi
Tarih Bölümü’nde tamamlamıştır. 2013 yılından beri aynı üniversitenin
Türkiyat Enstitüsü’nde akademisyen olarak görev yapmaktadır. Klasik
Türk Musikisi’nin tarihi üzerine araştırmalar yürütmekte, kitaplar,
makaleler yayınlamakta, aynı zamanda klasik ve dinî musiki eserleri icra etmekte, tarihî musiki eserlerinin icrasına yönelik kayıt ve konser projeleri üretmektedir. İngiltere, Almanya, Fransa, İtalya, İspanya, Hollanda, İsveç, Danimarka, İsviçre, Avusturya, Macaristan, Rusya, Letonya, Fas, Hindistan, Nepal, Azerbaycan, Özbekistan, İran, Endonezya, Avustralya gibi pek çok ülkede araştırmalarda bulunmuş, konserler vermiş, bilimsel toplantılara katılmıştır. Korkmaz, Klasik Türk Musikisi tarihiyle ilgili konularda, devam etmekte olan iki TÜBİTAK 1001 projesinin ve TDV İSAM bünyesinde bulunan Cüneyt Kosal Arşivi’nin tasnif ve katalog projesinin yürütücüsüdür. Aynı kurumda İslam Ansiklopedisi İlim Heyeti’nin mensubudur.
