Biography

I was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and I am a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye. I currently live in Istanbul, and I identify as a man. I am a researcher specializing in political psychology, migration, morality, and identity, with a recent focus on the self, culture, and artificial intelligence. I completed both my Master’s and PhD studies at Istanbul University. In 2023, I earned my PhD in social psychology with a dissertation titled The Role of Relational Models in Group-Based Emotional Reactions of the Local Population Towards Syrian Migrants. Additionally, I served as a researcher on the TÜBİTAK 2232 project, which focused on Sub-Saharan African migration in Turkey. I have published articles in journals indexed in SSCI, ESCI, and TR Index, along with contributions to various book chapters. I also teach courses in psychology and sociology departments, including Cultural Psychology, Political Psychology, and Project in Social Psychology.
